Are you prior military and want to continue your service? Have you always wanted to serve your state and community but haven’t had the chance? Now is your time! The Vermont State Guard is always looking for dedicated volunteers! Just download our application and background check forms below to get started.
Veterans are especially encouraged to apply! Medically disqualified from the armed services? Missed the age bracket but still want to serve? No problem! Our age range for membership is 17 to 80 years old.

Basic Requirements to Join the Vermont State Guard:
